About Chiaroscuro & Clover Atelier 

Chiaroscuro and Clover beautifully captures my journey through life, reflecting on my deep appreciation for the Italian Renaissance along with my time in Florence, Italy.

 

The name Chiaroscuro intertwines the usage of light and shadow, symbolizing the contrasts that shape our experiences. Red clover, the state flower of Vermont, represents my connection to nature and the comforting embrace of my family farm. Together, they embody a harmonious blend of art and the serene beauty of the natural world.

Animals - be they beloved pets, favorite farm animals, or animals from the wilds of our woods and pastures, they have always played a key part in my art and photography. I am excited to share this passion with the world.

About the Artist Behind the C&C Atelier:

Carrie is a passionate and creative artist. Her creative journey began in her childhood, inspired by her Mother, the illustrators Beatrix Potter, and Tasha Tudor, and the hours spent pouring over her Momma's (grandmother's) library of books.

 

Carrie pursued a bachelor's degree in painting, learning from instructors such as Rita Bernatowitz, Bill Ramage, Paul Beal, and Lorenzo Pezzanti. Her studies took her from Vermont to Florence, Italy.

Her artwork is proudly displayed in collections across the United States, Canada, and Sweden. Carrie has participated in numerous exhibitions in both the United States and Italy. Carrie's artistic contributions continue to resonate with audiences around the world.
